There are a number of convenient ways to donate gently-worn designer and everyday clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, books, collectibles, furniture, decor, artwork, housewares, and more.
NCJW Drop-Off Closet at Anathan House
Clothing and small household items may be dropped off at Anathan House, located at 1620 Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill, during regular business hours Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please enter through the side door and place your hanging, boxed, or bagged items in the secure, monitored donation closet. For security reasons, when you ring please inform the staff if you are dropping off merchandise that is particularly valuable or suitable for our Designer Days events.
By Special Appointment
If you have a great deal of high-end clothing, accessories, jewelry, shoes, or furnishings appropriate for Designer Days or Home Consignments, an in-home assessment and pick up may be appropriate. Please contact our Director of Retail Operations, Lynn Tomasits, at 412-421-6118 to make arrangements.
Hosting a clothing drive at your office, business, synagogue, or social group is another way that you can support the work of NCJW. Contact our Director of Retail Operations, Lynn Tomasits, at 412-421-6118, to for information on how to organize a clothing drive.
Donate At Thriftique or Home Consignments
Thriftique (7400½ Church Street in Swissvale) welcomes donations of gently used clothing, shoes, jewelry, furniture, decor, collectibles, linens, housewares, small appliances, sporting goods, electronics, books, music, and more. Store drop-off donations accepted Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please bring donations to our rear entrance off Monongahela Ave. and ring the bell for assistance. For safety and security reasons, do not leave donations at our front or back door outside of business hours.
Home Consignments (1913 Monongahela Avenue in Swissvale) welcomes donations of gently used, high end, eclectic furniture, housewares, and artwork. Before bringing donations to the store, we ask that you please call 412-271-3274 for more information on what we accept, in-home assessments, or to schedule an appointment or pick-up.
